For those of you who’ve asked about having LRFN on a Saturday, the time has come. This Saturday, we’ll be meeting up at Gordon Beirsch for some food, drinks and football.

Since it’s ASU’s Homecoming weekend, it may be very busy on Mill Ave so parking might be hard to come by. I recommend taking the train to Mill/3rd and walking the few blocks south. It’s awesome weather, why not enjoy it with a short stroll?

I know it’s Halloween so feel free to just stay for lunch if you’d like and then you’ll be good to go for all those ghouls and goblins. So I can give the restuarant an accurate headcount I ask that you refrain from RSVP’ing as maybe or yes unless you are going.

Our good friends at raillife.com are hosting their third #nightrail. They will be meeting at the new Downtown Phoenix Public Market at 6pm, and again at Turf at 10PM.

I think #wvfn is happening but I don’t know where. #nvfn is at The Herb Box. #lrfn is mixing it up with the college football crowd on Saturday. Unsure about #dtfn.

WHY: Yes, typically we do the Whole Foods run on the “final Friday” of the month. But due to the various activities planned for All Hallow’s Eve eve, we’re moving it up a week.

Yes, it’s a grocery store. But you haven’t experienced the store like this. Eight or more kegs of craft-brewed beer. Dozens of wines-by-the-glass to choose from. And your food choices are… legion. It’s not your typical experience. Then again… neither are we.

WHY: Kirk’s Sports Grill is a favorite dive for some of our frequent attendees. Sure, it’s got the worst mens’ room in Phoenix — as in Trainspottingly bad — but the place is a blast. Very low key with a fun and friendly staff. They also do great karaoke, but that usually doesn’t start until later. Maybe we’ll start early? Depends on if Cj can sweet-talk Tre into getting their early.

There’s a late happy hour at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon and great appetizers – not to mention the awesome hot wings.
