Light Rail Friday Night
@ First Friday – Central and Roosevelt
December 4, 2009 from 6pm to 10pm
Light Rail Friday Night has been hiatus for a while but we’re back and ready to have fun at Phoenix’s premier art event, First Friday. This event is a little less formal than events past. No RSVP’s, no meeting spot. Just come out and see what Phoenix’s art scene has to offer. If you’d like to meet up with a few of us that are going, send me an email at ihateyourshow@gmail.com and we’ll figure out a meet up spot.
For those of you who’ve asked about having LRFN on a Saturday, the time has come. This Saturday, we’ll be meeting up at Gordon Beirsch for some food, drinks and football.
Since it’s ASU’s Homecoming weekend, it may be very busy on Mill Ave so parking might be hard to come by. I recommend taking the train to Mill/3rd and walking the few blocks south. It’s awesome weather, why not enjoy it with a short stroll?
I know it’s Halloween so feel free to just stay for lunch if you’d like and then you’ll be good to go for all those ghouls and goblins. So I can give the restuarant an accurate headcount I ask that you refrain from RSVP’ing as maybe or yes unless you are going.
You can RSVP here
Light Rail Friday Night
October 9th, dinner starts at 6:30pm and Karaoke starts at 9pm
Coach and Willie’s
412 S. 3rd St. in Phoenix
One of the things I’ve really wanted to do for LRFN is have a night out at Karaoke, except I’ve yet to find a place along the rail line that has karaoke on Friday nights. Well…that’s until now. Coach and Willie’s has karaoke starting up at 9pm. If you’re not up for singing, come for dinner which will start at 6:30pm. If you’re taking the train, you’ll want to hop off at 3rd st and Washington/Jefferson and then walk south.
If you would like to check out the menu or find out more about Coach and Willie’s, check out their website at www.coachandwillies.com
Light Rail Friday Night
September 18th starting at 6:30pm
Chase field
3rd st and Jefferson in Phoenix
LRFN and Nightrail are teaming up for a great event, a night out at Chase Field (home of your Arizona Diamondbacks). Nick Bastian of NightRail has hooked us up with tickets in the Miller Light Diamond Club for just 20 bucks. It’s swanky and cheap, how can you go wrong with that. You do not need to RSVP but you will need to purchase tickets in advance and you can do so by doing the following:
Simple process to purchase tickets:
1. Click on the following link: www.dbacks.com/groups
2. Log in with the following information:
sign-in ID – rail
password – life
You can get to the ballpark via lightrail by getting off at 3rd/Jefferson (eastbound) or 3rd/Washington (westbound)
Light Rail Friday Night
August 28th, 2008 at 6:30pm
Old Spaghetti Factory
1418 N. Central Ave, Phoenix
Central/Mcdowell Light Rail Station
The last time LRFN was at The Old Spaghetti Factory, there was this crazy jinx that prevented a few people from coming. But I’m a firm believer in this place so I’m gonna try it again. If you have kids, The Old Spaghetti Factory was ranked one of the top ten restaurants to take children.
If you’re riding the light rail, it’s super easy to find. Just take the light rail trail to the Central/McDowell station and poof, you’re there.
Please RSVP here for you facebookers and here for you twitter peeps

**update** I talked to Michael Monti today, he’s confirmed he’s saved us space in the bar so if you get there late, join us in the bar.
New site (notice the lack of an ‘s’ in the URL), new look and a new collaborative approach for all the *fns.
This is the main site for all *fn announcements. It will be updated by a group of people once a week and will serve as home base for all the other networks that we post information on. If you’d like to submit, help design it, submit pictures, or assist in any way, please let us know.
To find out the latest info for each *fn, click on the tabs at the top of the page. We’re working on getting some sort of calendar/map tie-in too.
